Planning success! Having waited patiently for over eighteen months, the Parish Council has finally received outline planning permission for the construction of a new village hall. The current hall was acquired from Marham after being used as an officer's mess during WW1. It would be fitting if its replacement could be built by the centenary commemoration of the end of the conflict. The article, left, appeared in the Monday 17 November edition of the EDP.
Senior Citizens Christmas Lunch 2014 West Acre's grey-haired (if they were lucky to have any!) gathered in the Village Hall on Sunday 30 November for their Christmas lunch. Prepared by Sharon and Steve Hogg, and Antonia Hanbury, the Seniors were treated to a wonderful feast of festive food. Once again, Geraldine and daughter Nadia gave superb support. Many thanks to the West Acre Village Hall Committee and West Acre Parish Council for their help in making this occasion possible. Thanks to Julia for the photos.
